Northern FLights Squadron
The Northern FLights Squadron is the newest Mooney Caravan squadron. Prior to 2019, every region of the United States had a Mooney Caravan squadron, except the northern plains, necessitating us northerners to travel a long distance to qualify for the Mooney Caravan every year. Therefore, in 2019 we formed the Northern FLights Squadron. We hosted our very first, and very successful, Mooney Caravan Clinic in May 2019 in Bemidji, MN.
We are again planning yearly clinics in May/June to qualify wingmen, safety pilots and lead pilots at Kalamazoo, MI.
The Squadron Commanders are John "Coppertone" Bowden and Dave "Raptor" Piehler.
